Wall area = length × height, plus ceiling area if selected. We add a 10% waste factor, then divide by 32 ft² (4×8 sheets) or 48 ft² (4×12 sheets). Screws are estimated at ~32 per sheet and joint compound at 1 gallon per 100 ft² for a three-coat finish.
